The Team

Richard Rainthorpe
Richard joined the company in 1982 at the age of 18, having gained his HGV licence via the Young Drivers Scheme. With the CPC Transport Managers exam under his belt Richard has grown the business from one lorry to the current fleet.

Ken Rainthorpe
Founder of the business back in 1958, Ken now oversees operations.

The Office
This is manned by Linda & Helen, who deal with all the paperwork, sort out quotes and keep everything running smoothly with the help of the recently developed Rainthorpe database.

The Workshop
The workshop is headed up by Andy, who along with Graham is an apprentice served mechanic. They are joined by Edgar. Andy has been with the company for 15 years and between them the team have huge experience, as well as access to the latest diagnostic computer for the vehicles, keeping them in top condition.

The Drivers
There are currently 14 long serving drivers manning the Rainthorpe Transport vehicles.
